Concealed Weapon Slot
The concealed weapon slot lets you to carry pistols on a mission. Some players use this to achieve certain goals, especially those going for Suit Only. Some players utilize the extra pistol to fill in gaps. It's important to note that in order to select the pistols in this slot, click on the button for the appropriate category for example, alternate slot 2 machine guns. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider in use makes it much simpler to accomplish. This combo also gives you an attack tick from the concealed Weapon every 10 seconds as long as you have it placed in.
Smuggled Item Slot
The smuggled item slot an excellent option for allowing players to bring tools and weapons, however it could be improved with a better affordance. It's currently shaped like an a gun, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot that is smuggled from other gear slots.
The smuggle slot can hold a large variety of items, from subtle concussion devices to weapons-grade explosives. These items are covertly stashed in hidden locations around the map and are able to be found at any time. Smuggled items are different from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes that hide small objects in scenery and objects.
Mission planning is an option in missions that are episodic. It allows players to discover different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots before they enter the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players to prepare the perfect task for each challenge.
Gear Slot
Early on in the game players will find their gear slots quickly fill up, leading to the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message which prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until the old items are cleared or more space is found. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this issue. They provide an increase in inventory space to complete challenges missions. However, because many of these challenges are scattered throughout the globe and are easily missed, it can take some time to get the most inventory slots available in-game.
The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except the Pistol) takes up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades that are of the same type) only has one Gear Slot.
Agency Pickups
As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations let you keep items that do not fit into your concealed slot for gear or weapon and then retrieve it later.
These pick-ups can be useful in situations where your job requires you to go through a frisk or if you have a weapon with you that could raise suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.
This DLC also adds new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and purchase snacks and other items. Once you've reached the mission marker be sure to identify a group when you arrive.
